Container houses

Our process is simple, design your container home with us.

NIDO by World Container is the first marketplace in Latin America that allows you to quickly and easily design, customize, and purchase your own micro-home, all from the comfort of your home. Using shipping containers as a base, we transform these spaces into modern, efficient homes fully adapted to your needs.

At World Container, we've simplified the steps and created NIDO, where we create homes from shipping containers—comfortable, affordable, and portable modular spaces that are environmentally friendly and meet high quality and safety standards. Our team will work with you throughout the entire process, from our initial accessibility consultation through the design and engineering of your container or modular home and your site-specific foundations, to the goals we set up to hand you the keys to your new NIDO.

(Opcional)

STEP 5 - 60% Payment for Manufacturing and Commencement of Work on Site

The 60% manufacturing down payment is due 75 days prior to the manufacturing start date.

  • This deposit places the customer in the next available production location and maintains their manufacturing price.

  • The 60% manufacturing down payment can be made before step 6 to secure a spot on our build schedule and maintain your price.

  • World Container orders long-term items (HVAC, windows, steel, appliances)

  • Your local contractor should begin site preparation and foundation work at this time.

  • Production begins with the restoration and adaptation of the container to its designated construction site.

STEP 6 - 20% Manufacturing Progress Payment - Structural Frame Completed

This 20% manufacturing progress payment is due upon completion of the structural framing/exterior painting, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation of the container or modular home.

STEP 7 - 20% Payment Final Manufacturing Progress

Once the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation is complete, the final 20% of the project fee is due. We complete insulation, drywall, painting, all interior finishes, and assemble the on-site materials needed to connect your container or modular home.

  • 10% of this payment will be held in a separate bank account and released after the client approves the walkthrough following on-site installation, minus any identified deficiencies.

STEP 8 - 100% Payment for shipping, crane and installation

  • 30 days prior to your scheduled shipping date, we will re-quote and provide you with updated shipping, towing, and installation prices.

  • Payment is due 15 days before the scheduled shipping date.

STEP 9 - Delivery and installation on site

  • A mandatory site visit by our Project Architect to review the site foundation with your contractor for a fee of $1,500,000

  • Once we confirm your site is ready to receive your home, we reserve the crane, trucks, and dispatch your container or modular home installation team to your site.

  • Once on site, your home's installation team coordinates with the crane operator to place the individual modules on the foundation and complete the installation of your container or modular home (approximately 7 days depending on the model of your container or modular home and the scope of work).

  • The general contractor then connects all on-site utilities to the home once the modules are secured and welded to the foundation.

  • A final tour is carried out and the keys are handed over to the client.

STEP 10 - Move to your container or modular house

  • Note: The initial payment for quotes, accessibility assessment, and conceptual design of your container home will be refunded at the end of construction or deducted from the total price of your adaptation once you hire World Container for the construction of your container home.
