20-foot Refrigerated Containers
World Container's used 20-foot refrigerated containers, also known as "reefers," have an average potential temperature range between -30°C and +30°C* and are suitable for transporting and storing perishable goods.
The smallest refrigerated units in our inventory, 20-foot Reefers are typically equipped with stainless steel-lined interiors, secure doors, and T-track floors. Additionally, our machinery operates on a voltage range of 400 to 500V, 3 ph @ 60 Hz and 360 to 460V, 3 ph @ 50 Hz and is charged with manufacturers’ recommended refrigerants.
Often more cost-effective than building permanent cold storage facilities, 20-foot portable units can safely hold cargo for short or long periods of time, including fruits and vegetables, flowers, dairy products, liquids, pharmaceuticals, and frozen commodities such as seafood. They typically hold up to 9 metric pallets or 10 Euro pallets per layer.
*Important: Machinery temperature setpoints (“or “settings”) do not always mean that the required temperature inside the Refrigerated Container will be met. Temperature ranges may vary depending on: machine type, ambient temperature and humidity, product type, and product condition during loading.
